Making “Public Data” Public

In the same vein as a previous post on putting criminal records online, an enterprising individual has put the San Francisco Health Department’s scores for all the local restaurants online using Freebase.  Off course this info has always been public, but restaurant owners used to count on the fact that it was "practically private" in that who is going to down down to the department of health and request a review of public records.  I bet this spurs a bunch of folks to clean up their act!
